Excellent
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you.
I enjoy the breakfast arrangemetns where we all sit around a big table. The breakfast was cooked beautifully. The lady in charge of breakfast was highly efficient and helpful as usual.

Well run and friendly hosts
A very enjoyable stay. It is very noticeable when you find a place well run and meet those who stay regularly. A very friendly welcome and they handled problems encountered during the stay sensitively. The location, with easy walking of the city centre, is also a major boon, especially with Sophia Gardens just a short walk out the back.

The Town House
The House is situated within a short walk of Cardiff City Centre, a pleasant route past the Castle, The Millennium Stadium then over The River Taff and a short step to Budd park then a few minutes walk to the Town House itself.
The accommodation is very comfortable all amenities you could want for your stay.
The service / thoughtful staff made the trip all the more enjoyable, and the lovely breakfast set us up for the day.

great accommodation
Have stayed there twice now in the last week and found the accommodation very clean really comfortable beds and in lovely surroundings. The owners and staff were very helpful and would definately stay there again.

Relaxing weekend
Having enjoyed my first visit to "The Town House" in the summer to watch Wales v The Barbarians, it seemed only natural to use this warm welcoming guest house for my visit to Cardiff to watch Wales v Australia. I emjoy the location in Cathedral street, with the nice walk along the river into the city. The lovely breakfast sustains me for most of the day. Both en-suite rooms that I have used have been ideal. The sevice is excellent

Just the best!
We have stayed at the Town House on many occasions - it is, as I stated in the guest book, our "home from home". We always feel most welcome and everyone is so friendly. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Cardiff.

First time, but not the last.
Stayed one night. Great B&B. Very clean. Great value for money. Parking great & so very close to the City Centre, itself worth £10 a day! Charles the owner very welcoming & friendly. Breakfast excellent. Highly recommended. Will definitely visit again.

Friendly, comfortable and convenient
In Cardiff for a conference and the second time I've stayed at The Town House: comfortable and friendly, a convenient location for the University (just a short walk across the park) and very handy for good local places to eat/drink.

the town house is a beautiful and well placed hotel
easy to park and a short walk to the town centre and castle
rooms are clean and well equipped

Lovely place!
We had a wonderful time at the Town House. Love how quaint it is. And very near to the city centre, it was a good walk in the park and by the river.
Thank you Charles for taking the time to talk to us and explaining the directions to the major sights. We will definately be back again!

Single White Male
Overall no issues with the Townhouse, would happily stay there again. The room, for a single was good, slightly quirky in the eaves, bumped head a couple of times, stupidly. Breakfast was good with friendly staff

I really liked the room and the way the house is decorated. Erica was a great help for little things as bus routes and tickets, and very welcoming every morning. My friend Mr. morel and I stayed 5 nognhts at your B&B and will recommend it on Trip Advisor.

Town House Review

The Town House

A Pleasure
Tis was our third stay at The Town House and yet again we were happy with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was good (even had gluten free bread).

Excellent!
The Town House is absolutely fantastic. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quite charming. It is on a nice quiet street, with many places to eat across the street or even closer. It's within easy walking distance of the castle, and buses can be caught from there to other attractions. The owners are very friendly, and quite helpful when it comes to giving directions or arranging taxis. Should I ever find myself in Cardiff again, I will definitely stay here.

"A gem!!!"
We came across "The Town House" while looking for a place to stay in Cardiff that would be quiet, in a good location and (most important) offerred a decent breakfast. We were not disappointed! The room was comfortable and very quiet. The location allowed us to leave the car onsite and stroll into Cardiff city centre. The breakfast was very good. A very good experience!

Everything perfect
...and much nicer than any Holliday Inn or similar hotel. I liked the pancakes as an alternative to the full English brakfast. And there even was free WiFi everywhere. Thank you!

STAY AT THE TOWN HOUSE
Absolutely loved it. Is somewhere I will be booking again if I come to Cardiff. Everyone was so helpful with questions before I booked and it was a lovely and extremely friendly place. The room was fantastic. Loved having the chance to make coffee as and when I wanted and a TV which was the same size as mine at home. Highly recommend to everyone and the breakfast was amazing and very tasty. Thanks again - felt like I was at home rather than 7 hour bus ride away.

I have no complaints about the Townhouse. Exactly what you want in a B+B. Ny room was perfect for my requirements, exceptionally clean, tidy and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, each staff member was friendly and accomodating. The interior design of the hotel was very tasteful with many interesting paintings- I really felt this was a strong point and helped make the hotel a far more enjoyable place to stay, especially compared with the many bland soulless B+B's on Cathedral Road.

Very clean comfortable place to stay.Lots of little extra touches to make one feel welcome.
Good breakfast. A short walk to Cardiff Castle and the shopping centre. Easy taxis ride to Cardiff Bay, not expensive.Very convenient off-road parking.

Recommend the Town House
Charming Victorian home in an excellent location - a walk through a beautiful park to Cardiff Castle. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was quite large and comfortable.

Good traditional B&B
Very nicely appointed house - it's an impressive Victorian townhouse (as the name suggests!) with lovely decor. Breakfast traditional rather than exciting, but service excellent and cheerful. My single room was under the eaves - small and quirky but with a very comfortable bed, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. And the price was very reasonable.

The Town House
We stayed at the Town House for 2 nights at the start of our trip and again for 2 at the end. They were very gracious and we felt we were returning home when coming back at the end of our trip. The rooms and breakfast rooms were very well maintained (good breakfast!) and the location in Cardiff was very convenient. We would look forward to going back to the Town House when returning to Cardiff.
